'Serenade by the random' 2018

Serenade by the Random is a re-thought piano which plays eight notes by itself, in a random order, using a water pump and gravity. It is random due to the physical characteristics of the piece.

Although the notes will be the same, the melody is constantly changing which allows it to offer a unique and relaxing experience for the viewer.

I enjoy combining art with electronics.

Art that comes alive using the magic of technology and technology that brings people together instead of replacing them

'Heart to Heart Conversation' 2018
"Heart to Heart" 2018

This is an interactive art piece that reads two peoples' pulse and moves the drumsticks according to their heart beat. The piece aims to set up an unusual situation to connect two people allowing them to have a non verbal communication... a "heart to heart" conversation.

I managed to get the pulse sensor to work! So now the servo moves in response to the heart rate.

"Conversation of hearts"

This piece I am currently working on is the most challenging one I have done so far. Although the work is still in progress, it will read two people's heart rate and copy the rhythm to allow their hearts to "communicate".

Playing with perception...

"Unexpected"

This piece was part of a group exhibition show, "Sephour", in Catalyst Arts Gallery in Belfast. To me it was very interesting to see how people interact with it. Even though I have placed the instructions in front of the installation piece, not everyone followed it or understood how to view it.

"Unexpected"

When you press the button, the light goes off and it says "Wait", which is only visible in the dark. After 10 seconds the light cames back and the writing "press this button" becames visible again.
This is probably where the confusing bit is...

"Unexpected"

If someone didn't follow the first instructions I have placed on the floor, they got into a loop of pressing the button, waiting for 10 seconds and pressing it again.
Some viewers were not curious enough to find out how it works, so they never got to see what was on the inside...

...that can be simple at times...

...that transforms...
